Nicolas Mesly est reporter, photographe et agronome canadien. Basé à Montréal, au Québec, il a réalisé de nombreux reportages à l’étranger (Mexique, Cuba, Inde, Ukraine, Haïti, Nouvelle-Zélande, États-Unis, France) en collaborant avec plusieurs magazines dont Coopérateur, le Bulletin des agriculteurs, Country Guide, L’actualité, Québec Science, et aux quotidiens Globe and Mail et Huffington Post (Québec) et La France Agricole. Il est aussi chroniqueur à la radio de la Société Radio-Canada et lauréat d’une trentaine de prix de journalisme. Son documentaire choc sur la spéculation des terres agricoles Québec terre d’asphalte était en nomination aux Grands prix du journalisme Judith Jasmin 2021. Ce documentaire sur l’étalement urbain et l’occupation du territoire a donné suite au livre Terres d’asphalte, publié à l’automne 2022 aux Éditions MultiMondes. Nicolas Mesly couvre la politique agricole américaine depuis une quinzaine d’années et a travaillé cinq ans en Amérique latine dont trois comme correspondant pigiste au Chili.  Également animateur et conférencier, Nicolas Mesly est trilingue : français, anglais et espagnol.
